A Run Through Redlands

The Run Through Redlands has been and continues to be one of the biggest running events in the Inland Empire Area for forty years. This event continues to attract running enthusiasts from all over the Inland Empire and beyond. We welcome all levels of participants and, as always, walkers and wheelchairs are welcome in all events. The Run Through Redlands is dedicated to helping out our community.
About The Event
All proceeds from the run are distributed to local charities as well as providing scholarships for local youth as they continue to serve their community and desire to continue their education.

Exploring Oak Glen Preserve | Located Near Redlands, Beaumont, San Bernardino, Inland Empire
About This Event:
Nestled in Oak Glen(near Redlands, Highland, Beaumont) situated at 5,024 feet, in the shadow of 8,700-foot Wilshire Peak, lies The Wildlands Conservancy’s 909-acre Oak Glen Preserve. Enjoy hiking, picnicking, native botanical garden, bird watching and wildlife observation. The Preserve is the home of the Conservancy’s Southern California Montane Botanic Garden and Children’s Outdoor Discovery Center and includes the entire 114-year-old Los Rios Rancho Apple Farm. Wildlands acquired many of the prominent mountain peaks that were private inholdings in the National Forest including Wilshire Peak, Cedar Mountain, and Oak Glen Peak, which form the scenic backdrop of Oak Glen. The Botanic Garden has excellent representations of montane habitats including ponds, streams, wetlands, oak and pine forests, chaparral and willow woodland.

Chino Garden Workshops
Through Healthy Chino, the City of Chino is proud to offer a variety of gardening workshops throughout the year. Workshops are presented in partnership with Green Chino, and the University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program. All workshops are held at the Chino Community Garden, 5976 Riverside Drive. For more information, call 909-334-3478.

City of Chino Hike the Valley
Chino’s Hike the Valley is a hiking program where participants are provided trail head locations and guided through local trails. Hikes are led by Chino’s City staff, average 2 to 5 miles in length, and range from easy to advanced levels.
Chino Shuttle Service
Shuttle service is included! Shuttle departs from the Carolyn Owens Community Center at 7:00 a.m. with an approximate return time of 11:30 a.m.

Age Requirements for Chino’s Hike the Valley
Ten years of age or older. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Chino’s Hike the Valley Participants
Hikers are required to bring plenty of water and wear comfortable, sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes or boots. Participants are recommended to come prepared with a pack that includes: water, sunscreen, hat, and other supplies to keep one safe and healthy on the trail. Under-prepared participants may be denied access to a hike and will be eligible to receive a refund.

Redlands Veterans Day Parade
About The Event
Join us for the Redlands Veterans Day Parade, starting at 9am, honoring our veterans and celebrating our hometown heroes.
Parade route: RHS to Jennie Davis Park (Citrus to Eureka to State to Center to Redlands Blvd. to New York).
Veterans Day Observance at Jennie Davis Park at 10:45AM. Celebration immediately follows with food vendors, beer garden with live music, fly overs, military vehicles, vendor booths and more. Hosted by American Legion Post 106 and Post 650.
The Downtown Redlands Safe Trick-or-Treat
About The Event
The Downtown Redlands Safe Trick-or-Treat returns to Historic Downtown Redlands this Halloween, Monday, October 31 st from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Redlands City volunteers and Redlands Downtown storefronts will be distributing candy while supplies last.
This is a free event for all ages and an opportunity for children and families to safely trick-or-treat in Downtown Redlands. This event will be held at our Historic Downtown Redlands on State St.
between Eight St. and Orange St. After the event, there are many stores and
restaurants families can visit before heading out for the night.
